Our Mission
What makes Sonrise Family Farms unique is that we are a small farm with a big heart. Our family is passionate about what we do and strives to help our neighbors succeed. We strive to raise every crop doing all our work from working on our equipment to operating it all with our family and a handful of employees.
We at Sonrise Family Farms pray that others will share life with us as farmers whether it be big or small. We love working with others to complete a common goal.
Our Story
We are a third-generation farm that raises a variety of crops for seed. We raise everything from red and crimson clover to fescue and perennial ryegrass. We have also raised pumpkin, cucumber, spinach, coriander, and red radish. On some occasions, we have raised wheat for export out of Portland, Oregon.
At this time we have 3 of our sons working on the farm. Two of them are full-time while the 3rd is finishing his schooling. They are an incredible support during our summer harvest of swathing, combining, and baling. In addition to our crops, we also help neighboring small farms in our community by helping with swathing and combining.
